Wine makes the simplest night feel like a celebration, but if phrases like “this wine has notes of blackberry” put you off and make you wonder what are you missing, you are not alone. Wine appreciation is not about being fancy; it is about tuning your senses to what is in your wine glass, and why it is important.
Wine appreciation is more than just drinking. It is drinking with a purpose. It is paying attention to aromas, textures, and how the wine makes you feel. In this course you learn to “hear” what the wines have to say. You will learn to understand the characteristics the wines have. To assess the wine quality. The wines have a lot to say about where they are from. About how they were made and with the proper attention we can “hear” the wines.
Wine tasting is not complicated. There are easy methods to correctly learn testing techniques. We teach consciously appreciation of wines. We teach to learn and understand the wines and also recognize their most typical characters and also faults present in wines. The more conscious wines you appreciate the sharper are the tasting skills. We teach to taste Wine without Over-thinking and by appreciating the sensorial facets of the wines (the smell, the tactile impressions).
We make private wine tastings in Austria (Vienna in traditional restaurant settings integrated with food and musik, and in Lower Austria). Also we give wine appreciation courses in USA in the area of Washington DC and Baltimore.
